Doomplay

Privacy policy

Doomplay is built to be played with no connection. That also means there is very little to tell here. This page describes exactly what the app does with data, and what it does not do.

Last updated 28 September 2026

In short

  • There is no account, no login and no email address to hand over.
  • The app has no server of its own. Your progress lives on your phone.
  • There are no analytics tools and no tracking of how you play.
  • The app does not ask for permission to track you across other apps.

What stays on the phone

Your high scores, credits, unlocked games, settings and unfinished rounds are stored locally on the device. None of it is sent anywhere.

If you are signed in to iCloud, a small part of that syncs so your progress follows you to a new phone. That is your own iCloud account, and neither I nor anyone else can read it.

Delete the app and the local data goes with it. What sits in iCloud can be removed under Settings, iCloud, Manage Storage.

Ads

The app uses Google AdMob for rewarded videos. A video never appears on its own. It only shows when you tap the button to get credits.

If you watch a video, Google receives information from the device in order to serve and measure the ad: a device identifier, coarse location from the IP address, and how you interacted with the ad. Google processes that data, not me, and I never get access to it.

The app does not ask for permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency. The advertising identifier is therefore not used, and the ads are not personalised.

If you are in the EU you are asked for consent the first time the app launches. That question comes from Google's consent tool, and you can change your answer again inside the app.

Google's description of how they use data from apps

Purchases

Credits can be bought in the app. Payment is handled by Apple, and the app sees neither your card details nor your name. It is only told whether a purchase went through.

Purchases are not live yet. As long as the app is unreleased, nothing can be paid for.

Game Center

Leaderboards run on Apple's Game Center. If you choose to use them, it is your Apple ID and the nickname you picked there that appears. The app cannot change it and does not store it.

Children

The app is built so anyone can play it, and it collects no information about anyone on its own. The ads come from Google and are not personalised.

Your rights

I hold no information about you, so there is nothing for me to hand over or delete. If you want Google to delete what they hold, you need to contact them. If you have questions, you are welcome to write.

Changes

If the app changes in a way that matters here, this page is corrected and the date at the top updated.
